I'm Now a Fuego Dance Shoes Brand Ambassador — and Here's Why I Said Yes

I have some exciting news: I’ve officially been accepted as a Fuego Dance Shoes brand ambassador.

This means I now have a dedicated page on the site — Fuego Dance Shoes — where you can browse the collection, learn about the shoes, and get 10% off your order using my discount code.

Why Fuego?

Anyone who’s danced with me in La Ventana knows the problem: the surfaces here aren’t forgiving.

The outdoor stage at La Tuna, where Maceo Limonte plays every Tuesday. The open-air floor at Casa Fuego Dance Studio. Even beach-adjacent venues in El Sargento. We’re dancing on concrete, rough tile, and sometimes grit-covered outdoor stages — and most dance shoes are built for smooth hardwood studio floors. They don’t translate well to Baja.

When a student asks me what shoes to buy, I need to be able to point them toward something that’s actually built for our conditions. That’s what drew me to Fuego.

Their shoes feature a patented FlowTec™ outsole — a custom compound explicitly rated for concrete, gravel, tile, grass, and hardwood. Not just the indoor stuff. Their construction is water-resistant, the split-sole design gives you serious flex and pointing ability for turns, and the whole shoe comes in at just 6 ounces. They’re built by people who actually dance.

I reached out to Fuego because I wanted to be able to give my students a real recommendation backed by a real discount. They said yes, and here we are.

What the Ambassador Program Means

As a brand ambassador, I earn a small commission when someone buys through my link — that’s worth being transparent about. But the reason I partnered with Fuego is the recommendation itself, not the commission. I wouldn’t point my students toward something I didn’t believe in.

I’m highlighting three shoes specifically on the Fuego Dance Shoes page:

Latte Split-Sole — $150 My top pick. The split-sole gives you maximum flexibility and pointing precision, and at just 6 oz it’s the lightest option in the lineup.

Black Low-Top — $150 Clean, minimal, all-black. Built for dance and streetwear with the same FlowTec™ outsole and dual pivot points. A great option if you want something that works on and off the dance floor.

BDash Low-Top — $150 A collaboration with BDash — a krump dancer with 7 million followers. Bold design, same performance specs. If you want something with more personality, this is your shoe.

Every Fuego sneaker shares the same FlowTec™ outsole and outdoor surface rating. You can browse the full collection, watch a salsa video, and read the full breakdown on the Fuego Dance Shoes page.
